My name is Tanya, and I am a freelance ski instructor working for Far East Snowsports in the Niseko area of Japan. I have been working in Niseko since 2016. My love for Japanese cuisine, onsens, and powder snow keeps bringing me back for more.

I have always followed a more sports-centric path. In college and university, I studied sports and worked and trained in outdoor education.
In 2018, I discovered ski instructing and fell in love with it. Since then, I have been dedicated to perfecting my turns and sharing my passion for the mountains and the freedom they offer when skiing.
Professional Experience
With eight seasons of teaching experience, I have been chasing winter year-round. This season, I will be helping skiers achieve their goals at Thredbo Resort in the Southern Hemisphere before returning to Japan.
Experienced with children, groups, privates and family fun. I can teach beginners upto situational skiing and carve turns.
